The 60-acre Hewitt estate vineyard sits on the Rutherford Bench, a three-mile stretch of land at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains on the west side of Napa Valley. Its gravelly clay-loam soils have good drainage, allowing the vines to establish deep roots and develop complex flavors.
